When we all first gained access to the World Wide
Web, everything was pretty simplistic, which in a
way was not such a bad thing. Once we found out what
a link was and what it did, we were surfing. Pretty
much of what we saw was self explanatory. Probably
the most eye catching thing seen was a small animated
picture (gif). It was enough to get the basic idea
of the creator across to the user.
Now,
like everything else, the Web has expanded to include
everything from online shopping carts and auctions
to truly interactive 3D graphics and movies. Through
my cyber travels, I've learned to spot the big differences
between a web site and the best web sites. No matter
what high tech machinations are going on behind the
scenes, all of the best web sites are quick to download,
simple to navigate, creatively designed, and visually
pleasing. Whenever I came across a great web site,
I found out who created it and what it would cost
to have something like that for myself. I was shocked
to find out how costly it was to have a simple site
created, much more for anything with depth or worthy
content.
That's
when I decided to learn how to create for myself and
others, truly superior sites for a price that was
reachable for anyone who didn't have the time or desire
to learn for themselves. Aside from hopefully making
a little money while providing a useful service, I
really do enjoy every aspect of learning and going
through the creative process. I've been creating web
sites and flash presentations since 1999.
